Inclusion criteria
(Who may take part in the Project?)
- Age over 60 years,
- Ability to walk independently or with help,
- Giving informed consent for participation in the Project,
- Medical opinion about absence of contraindication for medical rehabilitation.
Exclusion criteria
(Who cannot take part in the Project?)
- Chronically ill, immobile, bed-ridden patients,
- Permanent immobility or inability to move/walk independently,
- Acute cardiac syndrome (ACS) in the last 3 months requiring separate cardiological rehabilitation,
- Cerebral stroke in the last 3 months requiring separate neurological rehabilitation,
- Recent bone fracture or orthopedic operation requiring separate orthopedic rehabilitation,
- Decompensated chronic heart failure,
- Chronic heart failure with ejection fraction below 20%,
- Chronic respiratory insufficiency requiring home oxygen therapy,
- Advanced dementia (MMSE<10 points) with no possibility to cooperate with the patient,
- Terminal chronic renal and liver failure (patients receiving dialysis),
- Active malignancy/cancer.
